To be honest, if anything I would say Stella get's outclassed with higher levels of gear. You kill faster so you need less healing and the other characters scale better. On lower gear it really doesn't matter much if it takes a few more minutes kill stuff. What does make a difference is, that you don't have to wait for the CD of the HP pots or run a high risk of dying. Stellas CC should also make up for the lack of damage if you aren't geared enough to kill stuff really fast.

Lily is almost pure melee. There are some range option, but they are either bad or have high CD. Stella on the other hand can kite very efficiently and heal herself without relying on high damage output. She does however do less damage. I say due to the kite potential Stella is much easier to control then Lily.
I have seen very little from Jin, however what i saw was worst then Lily in terms of range and flexibility. The best attacks seems to be a chargeable Energy Ball that has a gigantic AoE. However, you do have to charge and it's in the air. Air Dodges have no iFrames.
I would suggest at least leveling a Stella as an twink. She consumes almost no potion, which in return can either be sold or used for other characters.

Lily, because scythes are the best weapon. Plus she can stay in the air for a long time, she's melee, so she gets close and personal everytime.
If you want a CC class, choose the loli Stella. if you want a lot of AOE, long range and long duration CC Iris is for ya, but she hasn't been released yet. If you like punching people to death and having a bit of a challenge, then Jin is your guy, but he hasn't been released yet. If you want a tanky char that doesn't excel in anything but can take a punch, then, Haru is for you. If you want the easy way out and just snipe people from afar while being squishy, Erwin is your choice.thanks mabye i will play with stella or erwin xD
